Alumni in the News

Meet Darrel Parker.  Darrel attended the Lab School of Washington from 1994 to 1997.  He graduated from Good Counsel High School (class of 1999) and went on to attend Dillard University, graduating in 2003 with a degree in Biology/Pre-Dentistry.  He furthered his education at American University, graduating in 2005 with an M.Ed. in Special Education/Learning Disabilities.  He has been on the staff at Lab from 2003 to the present  - as a High School Science Teacher, teaching 9th – 12th graders and assistant basketball coach.  Darrel is also an Eagle Scout and a member of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).  One final note, Darrel was given the Outstanding Learning Disabled Achiever Alumni Award in 2004.
