American University/Lab School Partnership
The Lab School of Washington is pleased to have a partnership with The American University Masters in Special Education: Learning Disabilities program. Students in the Masters Program are placed in elementary or intermediate classes for a one-year internship and work directly with the students in implementing lesson plans during the academic morning. The graduate student receives training from the Master Teacher in the classroom during one-on-one meetings as well as through two reading and two math tutoring sessions each morning. Graduate students are in the classrooms from 8:00 am until 12:20 pm daily. The American University classes for the Masters program are generally held at The Lab School and are usually taught by faculty of The Lab School. For information please contact:
