The Annual Fund
The Annual Fund, for current parents, grandparents and alumni parents is directed by parent volunteers and every Lab parent is asked to contribute. Tuition and fees do not cover the cost of each child’s education, and everyone’s gift to The Annual Fund helps to close the gap. Each gift is welcome. Lab encourages everyone to participate according to their financial capacity. Your gift shows your support for the education Lab is giving your child.
The Annual Fund is chaired this year by Susan and Tom Hutton, Mary McGann and Gerry Lamb and Lisa Farnsworth and Steedman Hinckley who give generously of their time, energy and resources to direct this effort.
Lab School Alumni Association
Led by Alumni Trustee Leah Gambal ‘81 and Alumni Jon Ford ‘91 and Kevin Butcher ‘91, the Lab School Alumni Association (LSAA) was formed during the 2007-2008 school year. An anonymous alumna has made a challenge grant. She will match any donation by an alumni to The Lab School of Washington during the 2008-2009 fiscal year, up to $10,000. This includes purchases of tickets to the Gala and gifts to the Annual Fund.

Alumni Parents
Many parents of alumni tell us that they are forever grateful for the Lab School experience for their child, whether the student spent a few years here or all 12. Many parents of alumni have continued to support The Lab School generously. Alumni parents have expressed an interest in reconnecting with The Lab School and the parents they knew here, partially to support their ongoing interest in the issues of struggles with learning and organization that continue into adulthood. In October, The Development Office invited Alumni Parents to a weeknight lecture by Dr. Kathleen Nadeau on issues of the young adult with ADHD and Learning Disabilities. It was very well attended and we plan to have more gatherings of interest to alumni parents.
