Lower School
Welcome to The Lab School! I am a student in the lower school. Let me tell you what I like best about The Lab School. I like the way we learn by singing, moving, digging, acting, drawing and even playing. In the morning, we have our academic classes where we do math and practice reading and writing. Sometimes we sit at desks, sometimes we use computers and sometimes we play games that help us learn. In the afternoon, we have our art classes. We have two a day. We have workshop, drama, music, dance and art. We also have science and PE.
My favorite part of the day is my academic club. When I was little I learned about prehistory from the Wise Elder in Cave Club. Later, Cleopatra helped me learn about ancient civilizations in Gods Club. Then there was Knights and Ladies Club where I learned about the Middle Ages. I was a scribe a peasant and a knight. Renaissance Club is where Michelangelo taught us about perspective, Ghiberti and Leonardo da Vinci. And Museum Club is where I learned about world religions and became a curator. Now I’m in Industrialists Club. I am Henry Ford.
The lower school has helped me learn strategies for organizing my thoughts, for getting along with others and for advocating for myself. Now I’m ready for junior high.
