Overview of the Night School
• Learn at your own pace
• Small classes
• Individualized instruction
• Pre and post assessments
The Lab School offers a post-secondary education program
for adults with Learning Disabilities or AD/HD, 18 and over, to strengthen academic and communication skills through intensive instruction.
A comprehensive Academic Assessment is made to plan an individual curriculum for prospective students. Each student’s unique learning style, individual needs, and goals are the basis of an individualized plan of instruction.
Class size is limited to five students to ensure individual instruction. The experienced Lab School teacher serves not only as a guide to learning, but also as a mentor and an academic friend.
Classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening during a semester at The Lab School’s main campus at 4759 Reservoir Road, N.W. Classes are one hour each, between 5:30p.m. and 9:30p.m. Most students enroll in two to three classes each semester.
The school is easily accessible by public transportation. At the end of each class a Lab School shuttle returns students to the nearest Metro stop. Parking is available on the school grounds.
