About our Program
Baltimore Lab School: a division of the Lab School of Washington®, offers individualized tutoring and math classes, with a stimulating and varied curriculum to challenge the intellect. Students with learning disabilities can discover their strengths and exercise their creativity while working to overcome academic difficulties.
A summer full of imagination, fun, and innovative teaching can build new skill levels, and the confidence to keep on trying for success!
Camp BLS is a summer program especially designed for bright children with a wide range of learning disabilities. Camp BLS offers the necessary continuity to maintain academic progress while helping campers understand their needs and evaluate their strengths.

Camp BLS’s Unique Artist Clubs
Over Camp BLS’s five week program, campers will be exposed to master artists and authors including Picasso, Matisse, Money, Dr. Seuss, Eric Carle, and Jon Scieszka to name a few.
Not only will artist enjoy the great works of these authors and artists, but they too, will have the opportunity to create works of art and great literary pieces in an artist’s studio!
Campers will be transformed into an artist and author during their Academic Club period, an arts-based, multi-sensory, academic period where the camper will be fully immersed in the lives of the artist and author.
In addition to a daily art class and Academic Club period, campers will expand their creativity by participating in daily drama and dance classes.
Besides expressing themselves through the arts, campers will also receive daily tutoring in reading (decoding, comprehension, & written expression). In addition to tutoring, campers will attend a daily math class with a 1:5 teacher to camper ratio.

Extended Day Options
Recreational Tennis, Swimming, & Creative Arts Class: Besides participating in tennis and swimming, students will experiment with different media each week in fun-filled sessions. The instructor will build on the students’ interests & abilities while fostering new experiences and teaching new art techniques.
2 - 3:30 p.m., $600
Extended Day Program: Students participate in games of chance, skill, strategy, outdoor fun, recreational tennis & swimming, as well as arts and crafts.
2 - 5 p.m., $900
Available Services
Speech/Language Therapy: For all ages. Evaluations and therapy available in small groups or intensive individualized therapy. Small group and individual therapy offered one or two times weekly. 410.735.0067
