American University Launches Inaugural Sally L. Smith Distinguished Lecture

This spring, the American University School of Education will recognize and celebrate former AU Professor — and Lab School Founder — Sally L. Smith’s visionary leadership and contributions to special education with the establishment of the Sally L. Smith Distinguished Lecture. The annual event will bring premier special education researchers and scholars to the American University campus to lecture on important topics in the field.

The inaugural lecture will be given by Sally Shaywitz, MD and Bennett Shaywitz, MD, co-directors, Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity.
